Assistant Behavior Specialist

|Description:|| AABS will work with consumers in both Residential and Day Habilitation programs providing psych support to each program. |
AABS will be required to track all behavioral and psychological occurrences and report to supervisor.
AABS will also maintain psychological data books and assist in planning, writing and implementing behavior treatment plans for consumers.
AABS will assist the Applied Behavior Specialist in the teaching and training of staff in implementing behavior support plans as well as general in services in the area of psychology and behavior management.
AABS will assist the Applied Behavior Specialist in all areas pertaining to the psychological well being of the consumer. Additional responsibilities may be assigned
|Qualifications:||Bachelors Degree or higher held in Psychology.|
Must be knowledgeable in the field of developmental disabilities, particularly in working with individuals demonstrating challenging behaviors. Computer literate, and a valid New York State Drivers license also required.
Experience working within the OPWDD service delivery system and an understanding and empathy for families with developmentally disabled children.
